The Western Hospitality Institute - Montego Bay Sir Howard Cooke Campus, The beautoful facility is the home of Western Hospitality Institute at the Mel Nathan College / International University of the caribbean. The IUC is a operated by the United Church of Jamaica and the Grand Cayman and the IUC owns the Mel Nathan College and the College of Leadership and Theological Development / CLTD and WHI is franchised to MNC".

Western Hospitality Institute was established in September 1988 as an important link in Montego Bay and its environs. It is currently one of the city's largest and most dynamic hospitality, tourism, culinary and business institutions. Although WHI is one of the youngest post secondary and culinary institution in Jamaica, it has deep roots in the tourism community has tapped into the business sector.

A First for Jamaica WHI boast the only UCJ accredited Associate Degree in Culinary Chef Management and the only UCJ accredited BSc in Hospitality & Tourism Management.

Western Hospitality Institute is a registered tertiary institution with several programs accredited by the University Council of Jamaica. The institution offers Certificates, Diplomas, Associate and a Bachelor Degree.

On friday October 14, 2011 Ms. Latoya Morgan, a graduate of Western Hospitality Institute Associate of Science Degree and a final year student in the WHI Bachelors of Science Degree in Hospitality Management, walked away with the two top awards at the University of Technology, jamaica & University of Delaware, USA International Research/ Academic Business Conference held at Breezes Runaway Bay in St. Ann.
